Really exciting news, I’m running a series of workshops in Lostwithiel in East Cornwall, the first one is on Saturday 17th February on embellishing. Then two more, embroider your icon on March 16th and upcycle a piece of clothing on June 1st. I will send out more details on these shortly.

Explore the world of textiles with international artist Elaine Foster-Gandey in a hands-on embellishment workshop. We will be making a collage & a book mark that uses the techniques of collage, embroidery, stitching and print - it is a super fun process with no prior skills necessary.

Elaine has had over three decades working in the Fashion Industry working with famous Designers, models, photographers and brands before following her true passion of fine art & Textiles. The artist will be sharing her expertise, with insights about her recent Arts Council awarded project, 'Hope - Weaving Communities Together,' being exhibited at the Venice Biennale’s personal structures exhibition this year.

The workshops are for participants over 16 - whether you want to learn more about textiles and art, have no prior knowledge or just want to try something new, this workshop is for you. Elaine creates a relaxed, warm and easy atmosphere in which to learn with over three decades of teaching under her belt.

Join us at the charming Church Rooms on Church Lane in Lostwithiel, a large space with tables and chairs offering a lovely setting with accessible features such as a small step at the main door, level access through side doors, and disabled toilets.
